Agnes Moulder, 95, passed away on Wed., July 19, 2017 at a Rock Port care center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1921 on the Scamman farm near Rock Port. After moving to South Dakota her family returned to Rock Port to farm.
Agnes attended school at Langdon, Mo., and then graduated from the Nishnabotna school. She then attended Grand Island Business College. Agnes worked at an aviation plant in Kansas City, Mo. as an auditor.
Agnes married Carl Moulder, who was serving in the U.S. Navy. After the war they lived in Rock Port. They later divorced.
For several years Agnes worked for the Atchison County Extension office. In 1974 she moved to Wichita, Kan., where she received her LPN license. She returned to Rock Port and worked at the Maryville, Mo. hospital and the Pleasant View nursing home. Later she did private home care.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Willie and Winnie (Oakman) Cooper, and a great grandson, Gabriel.
Survivors include her daughter, Diana Meinders of Rock Port; son, Stanley (Cindy) Moulder of Paola, Kan.; brother, B.D. (Winona) Cooper of Fairfax, Mo.; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services: Mon., July 24, 2017, 10:30 am, Grace Church, Rock Port. Family visitation: Sun., July 23, 2017, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, also at the church. Interment: Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port. Memorials: Rock Port Outreach.
