Alene Weber was born on April 17, 1922 in Lebanon, Missouri. She was the daughter of Samuel A. “Bud” and Sylvia (Kinchloe) Murrell.
Alene graduated from Lebanon High School. On Feb. 2, 1943 she married her high school sweetheart, Alfred “Al” Weber in Lebanon.
Alene and Al lived in Kansas City and California before moving to Oregon, Missouri in the early 1960’s.
Alene passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at a St. Joseph hospital at the age of 90.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Al, in 1992; her parents; and sister, Mavis Fowler.
Survivors include her sons, Reynold and his wife Teresa Weber of Oregon, Missouri, Sam Weber and Candace Shipman of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Sylvia Weber of Apache Junction, Arizona; sister-in-law, Peggy Bell of Indio, California; six grandchildren, Heather Derma, Samantha Weber, Lonnie Weber, Daniel Weber, Marcia Young, and Tedra Cole; and 11 great grandchildren, Ethan Pratt, Miles Derma, Graham Derma, Kelby Weber, Taryn Weber, Hayden Weber, Lonny Jo Weber, Noah Weber, Will Weber, Aiden Weber, and Callie Weber.
Alene attended the First Christian Church in Oregon. She was a member of the Homemaker’s Club and Holiday Club, and helped deliver meals-on-wheels.
Services were held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Oregon. Interment was held at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the Alzheimer’s Association.
