Amanda N. Liess

Amanda Nicole Liess was welcomed to the world by Larry and Diana Liess July 23, 1985. She was born to stand out. As she grew she was soon dancing into people's hearts. She welcomed each new sibling with kisses and hugs and took on her role as big sister with dedication.
She was crowned Little Miss Sweetheart in primary school and she wore that crown every day. She graduated from Tarkio High school lettering in music in 2006. Her love of music and art continued. She enjoyed dancing, singing and would give performances to captive audiences. She took her crayons and put color in everyone's lives.
Amanda was an athlete in the Special Olympics and brought home many metals and ribbons for basketball and bowling.She passed away Nov 30, 2018 at her home in Rock Port from pancreatic cancer.
Preceding her in death was her great grandfather Smith Liess, and grandparents, Freddie and Dixie Liess, and Jim and Donna Rightsell.
Survivors include her sisters, Jessica Liess and fiance Eric Sollars of Country Club Village, Missouri and Melissa Mathews and husband Jake Mathews; brothers Adam Liess and wife Rebecca of Rock Port and Danial Liess, girlfriend Kayliann Fox, and nephew Kai of Clearmont, Missouri; and nephew Remington Mathews of Rock Port.

Memorial service: 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 4, 2018, Rock Port Baptist Church., with Pastor Richard Boettner officiating. Family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 pm, at the church.
