Amy M. (Wilfong) Ditmars

Amy M. (Wilfong) Ditmars was born on September 6, 1927. She was the youngest of four children of Harvey and Amy V. (Shipley) Wilfong.

She married Robert C. Ditmars, and they became parents of four children. Amy was a homemaker.

Amy moved to Mound City in 2002. She passed away at a local healthcare center on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the age of 84.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter, Patricia; son, Michael; and three brothers, Russell, Clifford, and John Wilfong.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Gene Roseman of Mound City, son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Ditmars of Teoc, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Bill Jr., Susan, Wayne, Sherri, Darrin and Michelle; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Amy loved to cook. She also liked to crochet, especially pot holders and lace doilies.

Graveside services and interment were held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Osborn, Missouri. Memorials may be directed to Kendallwood Hospice.
