Ashley L. Baker

Ashley Loraine Baker was born on March 26, 1987 in Kansas City, Mo. to Kevin and Lisa (Riley) Fouts.
Ashley graduated from South Holt High School in 2006, where she was a wrestlerette.
In 2010 she married Tyler Baker on a Ft. Lauderdale, Florida beach. Ashley had managed Palm Beach Tan in St. Joseph, Mo.
Ashley passed away on Sat., Jan. 20, 2018 at a St. Joseph hospital at the age of 30.
Preceding her in death was her maternal grandfather, Charles Riley, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Fred Fouts; maternal great grandparents, Charles and Hattie May Riley, and Charles and Eldora Cunningham; and paternal great grandmother, Anna May “Gigi” Wuick.
Survivors include her husband, Tyler Baker, of St. Joseph, MO; mother, Lisa Fouts of Oregon, MO; father, Kevin Fouts of Holden, MO; sisters, Brittany Fouts of Maryville, MO and Darien (Matthew) Whittington of Maryville, MO; brother, Jeffrey "J.T." Fouts of Holden, MO; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Karen and Greg Book of Forest City, MO; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Janelle Baker of St. Joseph, MO; sisters-in-law, Katie (Matthew) Parsons, Bre-Ann Baker, and Sarah Book; brothers-in-law, Eric (Amanda) Book, Josh (Jessica) Baker, and Klayton (Christine) Book; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Riley of Oregon, MO; paternal grandmother, Louella McCarty of Liberty, MO; and nieces and nephews, Presley, Memphis, Royal and Tiger Jones-Book, Harper Baker, McKinley, Jordyn, Camryn, and Suttyn Book, Annabelle Whittington, Mason Roberts, and Abbie and Riley Ellis.
Ashley enjoyed cooking, and loved her cat, Poe. She collected elephant figurines, and had a green thumb when it came to growing houseplants. She was baptized at the Oregon Baptist Church, where she was a member. If Ashley couldn’t put a smile on your face, she took it as a personal challenge to do so.
Services: Saturday, January 27, 2018, 11:00 am, Oregon Christian Church. Family will greet friends at a potluck luncheon following the services, at the church. Private family inurnment: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon.
