Beth H. Brown

Beth Huiatt Brown was born on May 27, 1933 in Maitland, Missouri. She was the daughter of Chauncey W. and Myrtle (Smith) Huiatt.
Beth graduated from Mound City High School in 1951, and then received her BS in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Beth was a music educator.
On August 28, 1955 she married Glen H. Brown at the Shiloh church, and they became parents of two children.
Beth and Glen lived in San Francisco, California before moving to Mound City in 1997.
Beth passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at a St. Joseph hospital at the age of 79.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Coleen Miller and Jean Wallace, and infant sister, Junada Huiatt.
Survivors include her husband, Glen, of their Mound City home; son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Nicole Brown of Mound City; daughter and son-in-law, Myrta and John Beaman of Bluffdale, Utah; sister, Alois Wilkinson of Mound City; and three grandchildren, Chauncey Brown, and Jaden and Shaleah Beaman.
Beth attended the Oregon United Methodist Church. She was a member of P.E.O. in Mound City.

Memorial services werre held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City.Memorials may be directed to the Mound City Pool Bathhouse Renovation Fund.
