Betty Brooks (Prussman) Brunk was born in Oregon, Missouri on June 26, 1936 to John Tyler and Marjorie (Brooks) Prussman. Betty graduated from Oregon High School in 1954. She attended Platte Gard Business College in St. Joseph.
On May 29, 1958 she married Jerald Lee “Jerry” Brunk in Oregon. Betty worked at the Citizens Bank for a few years, and helped with the family farming operation. She passed away in Savannah, Missouri on May 13, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents; great grandchildren, Lilly and Morgan Myers; brothers-in-law, Myron Noellsch, William “Bill” Meyer and Ted Mazurkewycz; and sister-in-law, Delores Mazurkewycz.
Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jerry of their home; son Jerry Lee and his fiancée Joy Thompson, Savannah, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Donald Medsker, Oregon; sisters, Dema Jo Noellsch, Oregon, Mary Lou (Charles) Markt, Amazonia, Missouri; and Martha Meyer, St. Joseph; grandchildren, Melissa Brunk (Carson) Harrison, Cassie Brunk and Cole Medsker; and great grandchild, Bayleigh Harrison. Betty was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of great grandchild Jacob Harrison later this year.
