Beverly Ann Diggs, 67, of Mound City, left this earthly home in the arms of Jesus on March 23, 2016 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, with her daughter by her side.
Beverly was born June 10, 1948 to Arthur and Abby (Bowen) Shelton at Nishnabotna, Missouri. She was a 1967 graduate of Craig R-III High School and a faithful attendee at River of Hope Fellowship Church. Her faith in the Lord was evident by her sweet, unselfish, humble spirit and expressions of love given to everyone she met.
Beverly loved the sunshine, warm weather and the great outdoors. Due to poor health, she retired as head cook and dietary aide at Tiffany Heights at Mound City after being there for 27 years.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Danny Diggs; her parents; one brother, John Ingram; and nephew, Cory Ingram.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melisa and Brad Allan of King City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Macon (Nicole) Allan, Colton Allan, and Jessica Allan; two great grandchildren, Isabella and Lacey; sisters, Gloria Roderick of Branson, Missouri, Linda Owens of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Debbie Simmonds of Mound City; brother, Greg "Butch" Strahl, Paola, Kansas; sister-in-law, Karen Ingram, Mound City; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services: Monday, March 28, 2016, 2:00 pm, at the River of Hope Fellowship in Mound City. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services, at the church. Private family inurnment: Mount Hope Cemetery in Mound City. Memorials: River of Hope Fellowship.
