Beverly A. Graham

Beverly A. Graham was born on April 29, 1927 in Bolckow, Missouri to Clifford Leon and Clara Ann (Cooper) Edelman.

She grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1945. She then graduated from Northwest Missouri State Teacher’s College in Maryville, Missouri.

In 1947 she married Raymond M. Graham in Minnesota. They became parent of one daughter, and later divorced.

Beverly worked as a teacher, actress, and model, and worked in clothing sales. For a number of years she lived in New York and Los Angeles. While in New York she worked for John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Later she worked for the Missouri welfare office in St. Joseph, and for Red Rock Rehabilitation in Mound City. She was the administrator of St. Joseph’s Wesley Towers for several years.

Beverly passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at a St. Joseph hospital at the age of 84.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her daughter, Debrah Allen of Glendale, Arizona; aunt, Juanita Clemens of Dumas, Texas; cousin, Jerry Clemens; and cousins, Reggie Edelman, Ron and his wife Gretchen Edelman, and Jim and his wife Sherry Edelman, all of St. Joseph.

Memorial services were held on Friday morning, January 20, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. Memorials may be directed to the Mound City Nutrition Site, or to the Cat Ranch pet shelter in Rock Port, Missouri.
