Brenda Kay (Cole) Haines, age 60, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Community Hospital in Fairfax, Missouri.
Brenda was born on March 8, 1961 in Fairfax, Missouri, the daughter of Dewey G. and Joyce E. (Taylor) Cole. She graduated from Craig High School. Brenda worked as a patient account and property management clerk at Tiffany Care Center corporate office in Mound City.
On September 18, 1979 she married Philip Haines, Jr. in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to Missouri in 1995. Philip passed away in May 2020 after more than 40 years of marriage. Brenda was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gail Olson; and a brother-in-law, James Sommerville.
Survivors include her stepson, Brian Allen Haines, of Tulare, California; sister, Carol Sommerville of Victorville, California; brothers, Barry (Barbara) Cole of Ridgecrest, California, and Rod (Rashelle) Cole of Dewey, Arizona; brothers-in-law, Norman (Doris) Haines of Redondo Beach, California and Donald Haines of Lakewood, California; step grandchildren, Samantha Medley (Christian Uribe) and Austin (Cynthia) Page; step great grandchildren, Scarlet Medley, Mila Uribe, and Cassidy Page; and nieces and nephews.
Brenda was an active member of the First Christian Church in Mound City. She was known as an excellent seamstress. Brenda loved animals, especially dogs and cats.
Services: Monday, September 13, 2021, 11:00 am, First Christian Church, Mound City, Missouri. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Inurnment: Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port, Missouri.
