Bunny Lee Mckee

Bunny Lee (Virkus) McKee was born to August and Hilma Virkus on December 28, 1958.  She grew up in the Chisago Lakes area in Minnesota with 11 brothers and three sisters.  Bunny met her forever love, Thomas Michael McKee and they joined in marriage on August 11, 1973.

With their love, they brought two sons (Thomas, Jonathan) and one daughter (Jessica) into the world.  While Bunny enjoyed her time with family and friends, she also spent a lot of her time gardening and doing many different crafts.  Her greatest joys were her grandchildren.

Bunny left her final footprints on this earth and departed to a pain free world at her Forbes, Missouri home on July 31, 2020 at the age of 62.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Michael McKee; her children, Thomas, Jonathan (Annie) and Jessica (Jason); nine grandchildren, Rebecca McKee, Bo McKee, Hallie McKee, Kaylee McKee, Tucker McKee, Saranda McKee, Kaitlyn McKee, Bryauna Ralidak, and Paige Ralidak; six brothers, Charles (Donna) Rowe, James (Barb) Rowe,  John (Jackie) Rowe, William (Carol) Rowe, Steve (Heather) Virkus and Alan Johnson; two sisters, Mary (Duane) Eddy and Candy (Jeff) Gram; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Tom Virkus, Jerry Rowe, Daniel Rowe, Patrick Rowe, and Leonard Virkus; and one sister, Jane "Becky" Monech.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at noon at the Chisago Lakes Sportsman Club, 11624 Lake Lane, Chisago City, Minnesota, 55013. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. A luncheon will follow the services.
