Carol G. Norris

Carol G. Norris was born near Mound City, Missouri on October 25, 1917 to John W. and Winifred G. (Allen) Buetzer.

Carol graduated from Oregon High School. On August 18, 1935 she married George E. Norris, and they became parents of three children. George and Carol farmed in the Oregon area.

Carol passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Oregon Care Center at the age of 95.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, George, in 1993; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and James Lazzarini, Edith and Robert Anno, and June and Harry Milne; sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Fitzgerald) Buetzer, Katherine Schenk, Elmora Sommer, and Dorothy (Brown) Buetzer; and brother, Russell Buetzer.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Earl (Sharon) Norris of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, Sherry (Jim) Huntsman of Maitland, Missouri, and Ann (Ken) Greiner of Kearney, Missouri; brothers, Allen (Lola) Buetzer of Loveland, Colorado, and Francis Buetzer of Oregon; sister-in-law, Sondra Buetzer of Decatur, Illinois; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Carol enjoyed needlework, gardening, and reading. She belonged to the Friendly Circle Club in the Mayflower Community.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Oregon United Methodist Church. Interment was at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Oregon United Methodist Church or to the Oregon Care Center Serenity Garden.
