Carolyn M. Roberts

Carolyn Maxine (Rouse) Roberts was born near Westboro, Missouri on February 8, 1930. She was one of two children of Alvin and Rosalea (Jewett) Rouse. Carolyn graduated as valedictorian of Westboro High School in 1948.

She married Russell Nauman in October of 1949, and they became parents of two children.

Carolyn worked as a waitress in several area restaurants, including Florence’s, Bammer’s Café, the Big Lake Dining Lodge and the former Klub. She enjoyed attending Bible study with friends.

On March 23, 1989 she married Richard “Dick” Roberts. They made their home in Mound City, and Carolyn helped on the farm. Dick passed away on April 23, 2022.

Carolyn was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Sondra Rouse; and granddaughter, Alicia.

Survivors include her children, Dennis (Susan) Nauman, Mound City, and Dianna Doolan, Nampa, Idaho; sister-in-law, Carol Hartwell, Muskogee, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Suzanne) Nauman, Jeffery (Shelli) Nauman, Jared (Kailea) Nauman, Marcus (Tanya) Kemerling, Donovan Kemerling, Sr., Emilie McLaughlin, and Travis (Ashley) Richards; 20 great grandchildren, Rosie Stephens, Elizabeth Stephens, Jesse (Brittany) Stephens, Jordyn Stephens, Aiden Richards, Logan Richards, Lillian Buseman, Braison Buseman, Aspen McColm, Khloe McColm, Kaden Nauman, Kayia Nauman, Gabriel Nauman, Jocelyn Nauman, Lillian Nauman, Alyssa Nauman, Addison Nauman, Donovan Kemerling, Jr., Chloe Kemerling, and Griffin Kemerling; and three great-great grandchildren, Sawyer Godfrey, Lawson Godfrey, and Naomi Nauman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
