Charles L. “Goose” Killin was born Sept. 15, 1932 in Fillmore, Mo.to Charles “Newt” and Bessie (Cooksey) Killin.
Charles attended Fillmore High School, and then served overseas as a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953.
On Jan.17, 1954 he married Wanda Montgomery, and they became parents of three children.
Charles worked in construction and as a mechanic.
Charles passed away on June 28, 2016 at his New Point home at the age of 83.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, John Killin; and son-in-law, Dave Potts.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda, of the home; sons, Kenny of New Point and Bill (Jenita) of Oregon, Missouri; daughter, Brenda Potts (John Rock) of New Point; sister, Anna Belle Dyer of Arvada, Colorado; five grandchildren;and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services: Saturday, July 2, 2016, 10:30 am, New Point Christian Church. Family visitation: Friday, July 1, 2016, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Interment with military honors: New Point Cemetery. Memorials: SSM Hospice in Maryville, Missouri.New Point Christian Church
