Charles Wayne McKenzie was born on October 21, 1928 in Centerton, Arkansas to W.L. "Luke" and Clemia P. (Wilson) McKenzie.
On April 8, 1949 he married Thelma Darlene Gelvin in Red Oak, Iowa, and they became parents of six children.
Charles passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at a Rock Port care center at the age of 83.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry McKenzie; daughters, Rhonda Diggs and Joan McKenzie; brothers, Gene, Stan, and Lowell McKenzie; and sisters, Mamie Killin and Nellie M. Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma, of Rock Port; daughters and sons-in-law, Anita Kay of Osage Beach, Missouri, Staci and John Coleman of Fairfax, Missouri, and Kana and Randy Mulnix of Bethany, Missouri; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Jack Rhoades of Bigelow, Missouri; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Charles attended the River of Hope Fellowship Church in Mound City, Missouri. He enjoyed horses.
