Clarence "C.A." Miller

Clarence Abraham "C.A." Miller, 83, of Craig, Mo., went to his eternal home on July 7, 2017.

He was born at home on a cold morning on February 15, 1934 weighing only 2 lbs and 8 ounces in Fairfax, Mo. to Clarence Cecil and Edee Naomi (Showalter) Miller.

C.A. had some of his favorite childhood memories when his family moved to Michigan after WWII. They then returned to Craig where he graduated from Craig High School.

After high school he joined his father’s plumbing business and worked on the family farm. He worked as a plumber until his declining eyesight forced him to retire in 1989.

C.A. married Karen Lea Brindle in 1970 in Craig. He loved people, cars, dogs and country music. A trip to the post office could take him two hours depending on how many people he ran into.

C.A was preceded in death by his parents and many beloved dogs.

C.A. is survived by his spouse, Karen, of Craig; his daughter, Marcia Miller, her husband Gene Miller, and their daughter Faith of Bristow, Virginia; his sister, Edee Joyce Croner and her husband Dorie of St. Joseph Missouri;  nieces, Annette Morey and husband Tom of Gravette, Arkansas and Susan Campbell and husband Dennis of St. Joseph, Missouri; and numerous great nieces and nephews he loved dearly. In addition he was survived by bonus daughter Brenda Haines and her husband Phil of Mound City, Missouri.

Celebration of Life Services: First Church of God, Craig, Saturday, July 22, 2017, 11:00 am, followed by a church lunch.  Please wear bright colors, as this is a celebration. A private family burial will follow at a later time. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to First Church of God.
