Oliver Conrad Gebhart was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on February 14, 1953. He was one of two sons born to William Frank Davis and Louise (Dillard) Gebhart.
Conrad received his BS in Chemistry from Washington University in 1975. He then attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Conrad provided counseling and chaplain services at Leavenworth penitentiary.
Conrad served as a captain in the U.S. Army and later in the Army Reserves. He was a member of the Harris E. Petree American Legion Post 190 in Oregon, Missouri.
On December 23rd, 1986 he married Claudia Grace Mackey in Hiawatha, Kansas.
Conrad passed away on December 28, 2018 at his Forbes, Missouri home.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia, of Olathe, Kansas; brother, E. Roger (Jamey) Gebhart, Charlotte, North Carolina; step-daughter, Dawn (Ronnie) Cole, Princeton, Kansas; step-grandsons, Tyler Davis, Shawnee, Kansas and Derek Davis, Gardner, Kansas; and nephews, Jeb Gebhart, Nashville, Tennessee and Davis Gebhart, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Services: Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, 10:30 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon, Mo. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Burial with military rites: 1:30 pm, Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Evergreen Hospice, 11875 S Sunset Dr. #100, Olathe, Kan. 66061.
