David Eugene Stansbury was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on May 3, 1959 to Frank and Amy “Peggy” (Noellsch) Stansbury. He graduated from South Holt High School in 1978.
David worked for the Cargill elevator at Forest City, Missouri for 25 years.
He passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the age of 53.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and two nephews, Shelby and Hayden Panning.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Frank and Betty Stansbury of Oregon; brothers, Rick E. Stansbury of Belton, Missouri, and Clinton “Ray” Stansbury of Freeport, Illinois; sister and brother-in-law, Lori and John Panning of Mound City; one nephew, Jacob Benjamin Stansbury; and three nieces, Devon Nicole Stansbury, Ericka Donielle Stansbury, and Destiny Shelden Panning.
David was an avid duck and goose hunter. He also enjoyed fishing and trap shooting.
Services were held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, or to the American Diabetes Association.
