Dennis D. George

Dennis D. George, 83, of Forest City, passed away Tues., Feb. 27, 2018 at the Oregon Care Center.

He was born May 2, 1934 in Forest City to Lawrence and Emma (Dryden) George. Dennis graduated from Forest City High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army, and then worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation as a grader operator.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, David P., Darell and Dwane George; and nephew, Randy George.

Survivors include his brothers, Danny George of Osage Beach, Mo. and Delbert George of Lexington, Mo.; sister-in-law, Sharon George of St. Joseph; nephews, Mark (Christie) George of St. Joseph, and David C. (Lisa) George of Decatur, Ala.; and niece, Robin Bubb of Leawood, Kan.

Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing, and having coffee at the diner. He liked gardening and farming, and collecting old tractors.

Funeral services: Saturday, March 3, 2018, 3:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, Mo. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment with military rites: Forest City Union Cemetery. Memorials: Forest City Union Cemetery.
