Dr. Donald Hunziger passed away June 29, 2015 at his Humboldt, Kansas home. He and his wife, Annamarie, had recently moved from Oregon, Missouri.
Don was born to John and Doris Hunziger on Jan. 7, 1942 in Oregon. He attended White School and graduted from Oregon High School in 1960.
After graduating from the University of Missouri in 1964 with a degree in Agriculture, he served in the U.S. Army until 1966. In 1971 he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced from May 1971 until his retirement in March 2015.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Annamarie; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Becky Hunziger and Jerry and Femie Hunziger; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Calvin Smith and Ellen and Joe Stinziano; two grandsons and four step grandchildren.
Graveside services: Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, 1:30 pm, Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials: Frank and Iris Sweaney Education Fund in care of Chamberlain Funeral Home.
