Donald joined the U.S. Navy in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1961. After the service Donald farmed and worked as an oil rig roustabout. He also did carpentry work.
On April 30, 1980, he married RayeAnn Bowers in Port Sulphur.
Donald passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at his Port Sulphur, Louisiana home at the age of 77.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, William "Roy," Robert "Bob," and George "Lin" Muse; sisters, Della Bowland and Geneva "Sue" Burnsides; and an infant sister, Mildred Muse.
Survivors include his wife, RayeAnn, of the home; sons, Chris Bowers of Louisiana, Eldredge Edgerson of Louisiana, and Chris Muse and Dean Muse, both of Kansas; daughters, Tina (Steven) Williamson of Oklahoma, Marie (Buddy) Griffice of Louisiana, and Candy Muse and Jennifer Muse, both of Kansas; brother, Thomas (Mary) Muse, of St. Joseph, Missouri; sister, Toynette “Jane” Haskins of Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, 11:00 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment with military rites: Forbes Cemetery, Forbes, Mo.
