Donna Faye Boyles

Donna Faye Boswell Boyles passed away peacefully at Lincolnshire Place in Sycamore, Illinois on June 10, 2024 at the age of 91.

Born on February 23, 1933, in New Point, Missouri, to Sterling Fay and Marjorie Frances Buntz Boswell, Donna led a life filled with love, creativity, and dedication. She graduated from New Point High School and pursued Nurses Training in St. Joseph, Missouri. In 1951, she married James Melvin Boyles, a union that spanned nearly 70 years, characterized by unwavering love and companionship.

Donna’s life was a beautiful tapestry of creativity and care. She had a remarkable talent for painting, sewing, quilting, and her flower gardens were always beautiful. She found immense joy in cooking special meals for her family and there were always home baked cookies in the cookie jar.

Donna's love of God showed through her life in her compassion and caring for her family, friends and others. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her surviving children including Sharon Marie LeMaster and husband Larry Woodring of Decatur, Georgia;  son James David Boyles of Morrison, Illinois, Brenda Denise Varney and husband Jeff of Bloomington, Illinois; Lora Lee Harold of Sycamore, Illinois; and Jeanette Elaine Stevenson of Kenosha, Wisconsin; Donna took great pride in her nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment she spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James; parents, Fay and Marjorie Boswell; and her brother Robert Boswell.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on June 23 from 11:00 to 12:30 at Chamberlain Funeral Home, 100 West George Street, Oregon, Missouri. A graveside service will follow at 1:00, officiated by Pastor Brian Buck of the New Point Christian Church. Donna will be laid to rest at Cowan New Point Cemetery in New Point, Missouri.

Her love, creativity, and warmth will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
