Doris A. Hunziger was born on June 28, 1918 in Forest City, Missouri, the eldest of three children of Ray and Ora (Sipes) Burrier. Doris graduated from Oregon High School.
Doris married John Hunziger in 1938, and they became parents of three children.
Doris passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Oregon Care Center at the age of 96.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John; and sister, Ada Taylor.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dr. Donald and Anna Marie Hunziger of Oregon, Missouri, Sandra and Calvin Smith of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Ellen and Joe Stinziano of Wanaque, New Jersey; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Jo Burrier, Jr.; six grandchildren; five great grand-children, two step great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Service: Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon. Family visitation: One hour prior to services. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon. Memorials: Oregon United Methodist Church or Maple Grove Cemetery.
