Dorothey Naomi Major was born on January 29, 1938 in Rock Port to Harry E. and Donna Lea (Johnson) Mensen.
She graduated from high school in Emerson, Iowa, and then received her LPN license in Nebraska. Dorothey later received her associate’s degree in Texas, where she pursued a career in real estate. She had also worked as a customer service representative at Sprint.
Dorothey passed away on September 19, 2014 in Carrolton, Texas at the age of 76.
Preceding her in death were her parents; spouses, Harry Boyce, Lloyd Perry and Gary Major; siblings, Viola Clymer and Raymond Mensen; and son, James J. Boyce.
Survivors include her partner in life, James Reynolds of Texas; siblings, Elaine Eberhart of Texas, and Betty Wetzel of Iowa; children, H. Ray Boyce and Wilma M. (Perry) Nichols of Texas; and grandchildren, Dustin L. Perry of Texas and Jennifer Boyce of California.Memorial services were held on Sat., Sept. 27, 2014 at the Rock Port Christian Church.
