Dorothy E. Hartmann, 95, passed away peacefully at Tiffany Heights Care Center, Mound City, Mo. on January 13, 2017. Before locating to Tiffany Heights she was a resident of Wallington, New Jersey for 94 years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son, Mark; daughter, Karen Smith; and sister, Vina Bush.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Pam Hartmann of Big Lake, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Janet Hartmann; son-in-law, Paul Smith; and grandchildren, Scott Hartmann and his wife Emily, Dan Hartmann, and Kristen and Alice Smith.
Dorothy was very active in community affairs in her home town of Wallington, with memberships in the VFW Auxiliary, Wallington Fire Department Auxiliary, Senior Citizens, AARP, and Democratic Club. She was a former member and president of the Board of Health. She was also a devoted member of the Wallington Presbyterian Church.
Dorothy has been returned to Wallington by Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City, and will be laid to rest at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton, N.J. on Jan. 21, 2017 under the direction of Kamiensky Funeral Home. To order memorial trees in memory of Dorothy E. Hartmann, please visit our tree store.
