Dorothy L. Quick

Dorothy Louise (Pullen) Quick was born in Oregon, Mo. on August 23, 1932. She was one of five children of Edgar Thomas and Willie Grace (Blocker) Pullen.

She graduated from Oregon High School and then attended Northwest Missouri State College.

On April 26, 1953 she married Robert M. “Bob” Quick. They became parents of three children.

Dorothy opened the Chuck House Café in the 1960’s. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Quick Livestock Auction. Dorothy later worked at the Zook and Roecker State Bank for over 20 years. She was a member of the Oregon First Christian Church, the Holiday Club, the Rough Riders, and served as a Cub Scout leader.

Dorothy passed away on June 24, 2022 at the Oregon Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob, in 2012; son, Tommy Quick; brother, Bill Pullen; and sisters, Mary Huss and an infant sister.

Survivors include her children, Janet (Rick) Boswell of Oregon and Scott (Mary) Quick of Dawson, Minnesota; former daughter-in-law, Gay Quick-Markt and her husband Allan of Oregon; sister, Frances Thomas of Kansas City, Kansas;  six grandchildren, Zachary (Brenda) Boswell, Megan DeBee, Lindsey Quick (Dan Cocozzello), Harrison Quick (Tran Huynh), Matthew (Romelia) Quick, and Mark (Elizabeth) Quick; 13 great grandchildren, Chloe, Emalynn, and Malakai DeBee, Piper Boswell, Ruby Huynh Quick, Kaylin, Elayna, Claire, and Lauren Quick, Isabella, William, Guinnyth and Julia Quick; and nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life services: Friday, July 8, 2022, 11:00 am, Oregon First Christian Church. Family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am at the church. Private family inurnment: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon. Memorials: Oregon First Christian Church or AsceraCare Hospice.
