She was born near Oregon on May 30, 1929, the only child of Charles H. and Clara Orick (Mahon) Lenz. Dorothy graduated from Oregon High School in 1947.
On June 18, 1949 she married Robert Stephenson and they became parents of two sons. The Stephensons farmed in the Oregon area. Bob passed away in 2013.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Roger (Mary) of Platte City, Missouri and Ronnie, of Oregon, three grandsons, Kyle, Omaha, Chad (Melissa) and Todd, all of Columbia, Missouri; and numerous cousins.
Dorothy was very musically talented. She played for church services and schools, taught music, and was a member of the Fortnightly Music Club. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and always had a beautiful lawn, garden and home. Dorothy was a member of DAR and the New Point Presbyterian Church and later the Woodville Presbyterian Church.
Services: Monday, June 15, 2015, 10:30 am, Woodville Presbyterian Church, Oregon. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon. Friends may sign the register book beginning noon on Sunday. There is no scheduled family visitation. Memorials: Maple Grove Cemetery.
