Dorothy E. Turner

Dorothy E. Turner was born on April 1, 1930 in Forest City, Missouri to Ernest and Charlene (Dodge) Rasnic.

On July 18, 1948 she married James Turner, and they became parents of seven children. He preceded her in death in 1988.

Dorothy passed away at her St. Joseph home on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the age of 82.

In addition to her husband, James, she was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Ernest "Jr," Donald "Bud," and Russell "Jim" Rasnic.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dale Gant of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Christy Turner of St. Joseph, Missouri; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Jeanne Turner of St. Joseph, Greg Turner of Agency, Missouri, Rick and Mary Turner of Falls City, Nebraska, Ernie and Tammy Turner of St. Joseph, and Kirby Turner of St. Joseph; four sisters, Bonnie Scheib, Margaret Sherlock and Betty Todd, all of St. Joseph, and Helen Rasnic of Wichita, Kansas; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment were held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fillmore Cemetery in Fillmore, Missouri.
