Edna Mae Buckles

Edna M. (Snider) Buckles was born in Fortescue, Missouri on September 13, 1933, one of 10 children of George and Louisa (Bledsoe) Snider.

She married Donald Paul Buckles, Sr. on August 3, 1952, and they became parents of six children. Donald passed away in 2000.

Edna passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Leavenworth, Kansas on December 10, 2020.

Preceding her in death was her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Edward Peek; all of her siblings, Henry, James, Harold and Charles Snider; Clara Mendenhall, Chrystal Bohart, Dorothy Findley, and infant siblings Paul and Ruth; and son-in-law, Kenneth Irwin.

Survivors include her children, Donald Paul (Linda) Buckles, Jr., Dr. Randy (Patti) Buckles, and Dr. Steven Mark (Kathy) Buckles, all of St. Joseph, Missouri, George Jefferson “Jeff” Buckles of Branson, Missouri and Dr. Lisa (Kyle) Nordberg of Leavenworth, Kansas; numerous grand and great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Open visitation: Monday, December 14, 2020, beginning at 9:00 am at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon. Services: 11:00 am Tuesday, December 15, 2020, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon.
