Erma L. Burnett

Erma L. (Haist) Burnett was born Aug. 25, 1925. She graduated from Graham High School.
On October 11, 1945 she married Robert Burnett in Troy, Kansas. They lived and farmed in Holt County. Robert passed away in 2009. Erma passed away on Sat., Oct. 3, 2015 in Oregon, Missouri at the age of 90.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl B. and Florence M. (McNeal) Burnett; three brothers, William, Virgil and LaVerne; and one sister, Roberta Friend.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Katherine Burnett, Miami, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Tom Cain, Oregon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Teresa Butler, Lisa Barlow and Keri Ann Fox; five great grandchildren, Kati and Kody Butler, Nicole Jones, Jacob Burnett, and Emma Barlow; and nieces and nephews.
Erma was a member of the Graham United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cake decorating and taught decorating classes. Erma was also talented at sewing, arts and crafts and flower gardening.
Services: Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City. Memorials: Make-A-Wish Foundation or Mount Hope Cemetery Association.
