Faye B. Smith

Faye Bernice (Conz) Bond Smith was born in Blue Rapids, Kansas on September 4, 1913. She was one of five children of George Albert and Bertha L. (Fishback) Conz. The family moved to Maitland, Missouri and Faye attended Maitland High School.
She married Edgar Bond, and they became parents of one son. Edgar preceded her in death in 1952. Faye worked for the telephone company and the local restaurant from 1952 to 1956.
In 1956 she married Orel Smith, and he preceded her in death in 1978.
Faye continued to live in Maitland, and only recently entered the Tiffany Heights Care Center. She passed away there on December 5, 2016 at the age of 103.
She was also preceded by her three brothers, Bob, Wilford, and Floyd Conz; and sisters-in-law, Melva Conz and Lucille Conz.
Faye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Nancy Bond, Marysville, Washington; brother and sister-in-law, George and Alice Conz, Indianola, Iowa; two granddaughters, Shelly Morrell and Summer Bond; four great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
Faye was a member of the New Point Christian Church.
Services: Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, 1:00 pm, New Point Christian Church. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Maitland Cemetery. Memorials: Tri City Nutrition Center or Maitland Cemetery.
