Frances D. Wilson

July 24, 1916 — August 28, 2012

Frances Delores Wilson was born on July 24, 1916 in Bellevue, Missouri, one of four
children of John C. and Elva D. (Thompson) Long.
 
Frances graduated from Bellevue High School. On January 31, 1937 she married 
John Richard “Jugger” Wilson. He preceded her in death in 1992.
 
Frances passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at her Mound City home at the 
age of 96.
 
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Hampson
Long; sister, Elizabeth Pardau, and infant sister, Imogene Long; and son, Thomas E.
Wilson.
 
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. J. Richard and Lynn Wilson of 
Menlo Park, California, and David H. “Derb” and Sherry Wilson of Mound City;
daughter, Elizabeth E. Wilson of Mound City; daughter-in-law, Vivian Wilson of
Boulder, Colorado; six grandchildren, Ariane (Courtney) Lang, Tristan Wilson,
Michelle (Ryan) Brown, Angie (Charlie) Hughes, Amy (Pat) Ryan, and David E.
Wilson; seven great grandchildren, Nyssa Lang, Kimber and Lanie Brown, Macy
and Ty Hughes, Max Ryan, and Madeline Frances “Maddie” Wilson; and nieces
and nephews, including niece Patricia Bown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
 
“In life she was our family’s guiding angel. In death she is our guardian angel. We 
love you dearly, Mother.”
 
Private family graveside services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Mound City.
Memorials may be directed to the Mound City Nutrition Site, or the Hands of Hope
Hospice.
