G. Dale Brickey

G. Dale Brickey, 91, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Mound City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at a Bentonville, Arkansas hospital.

Dale was born on August 13, 1920 in Holt County, Missouri, the son of William M. and Vetra O. (Kaufman) Brickey.

Dale graduated from Mound City High School. On August 12, 1942 he was inducted into the U.S. Army. He earned the rank of sergeant with the 268th AAF Base Unit, where he was an airplane mechanic. Dale was honorably discharged on January 30, 1946.

On March 3, 1943 he married Alberta M. Hamm.

Dale and Alberta moved to Arkansas in 1968. Dale ran his own lawn care business there.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother-in-law, Lloyd Supernau.

Survivors include his wife of almost 69 years, Alberta; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Carol Brickey of Mound City; sister, Phyllis Irene Supernau of Lawrence, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Bev Meyer and Bill Brickey.

Services with military honors were held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. Interment was at the IOOF Cemetery in Craig, Missouri.
