Gail Davis, 62, passed away March 6, 2019 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Gail was born on February 28, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Gail was a caregiver. That is who she has always been. It started at a young age where she helped raise her four youngest siblings. She was employed with Oregon Care Center and later worked on the ambulance with best friend Linda Weis. Gail started working at MoDOT, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Raymond Davis (even though she didn’t know it at the time). The two were wed at 3:00 am, on Valentine’s Day, 1993 in Las Vegas. They made their life together in Oregon where they shared three kids, Michael, Brandy and Stephanie.
When one hears Gail’s name, the word selfless comes to mind. She would go above and beyond to help anyone she could, especially her family. Her family meant everything to her. She loved to spend time with her siblings playing washers and cards. She also loved her three children immensely and was so proud of them and all their accomplishments. Gail was also known to brag on her grandchildren. Pool parties and popsicle time were the highlights of her summers. She touched so many lives in her short 62 years on this earth. Her final words to those she was leaving behind were “love each other” and “be kind to each other.”
So if you see a cardinal flying, just know Gail is looking down on you.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Virginia (Franks) Mudd, brother, Timmy Mudd, sister, Lorelei Hines, niece and nephew, Kimberly and Matthew Turner, and close friend, Shane Voyles.
Survivors include her best friend and husband, Raymond, of their Oregon home; children, Michael (Laura) Sipes, Brandy (Ryan) Ingram, and Stephanie (Trent) Shineman; six grandchildren, Mattilea and Lilyan Shineman, Benjamin and Austin Sipes, Bostyn and Rocklon Ingram; siblings, Carson (Sue) Mudd, Thelma (Mark) Levrett and Bridgett (Tony) Litton, Ollie Mae (John) Osborn, Raymond Judd Jr. and wife, Cloma, and Lindy (Joe) Suman; and many nieces and nephews.
