Gary E. Holleman

Gary E. Holleman, 72, Harrisonville, Missouri, was born September 28, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri and passed away April 13, 2015 at Cass County Regional Hospital with family by his side.

He is survived by a brother, James D. Holleman of Arizona; an aunt, Betty Gilland of Harrisonville; and many cousins and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Lorene; father, James M. Holleman; stepfather, Elmer E. Elder, whom he had lived with since the age of three; maternal grandparents, Allie and Myrtle Burge Gilland; also his fishing buddy, Uncle Les Gilland.

Gary attended Mound City School. He moved from Bigelow to Mound City in 2003 and to Harrisonville in 2006.

Gary made many friends over his 72 years and was remembered by all who crossed his path. He always greeted them with a ‘hi’ and a wave.

He loved to fish and loved to eat them, too. He also loved to go to cousin Donna’s and family for grilled steak dinners, and was always asking them when they were going to have another steak dinner.

Gary will be sadly missed by family and friends.
