George D. Seyller

George D. Seyller, 85, of Oregon, passed away on Aug. 29, 2019 at an Oregon care center.

He was born in Elgin, Illinois on March 7, 1934. After graduating from high school he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1953 until 1955, earning the rank of Corporal.

In 1958 he married Joann A. Seibens, and they became parents of two sons. George owned a truck body manufacturing company.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Clarence and Cecelia “Celia” (Welch) Seyller; and brother-in-law, Ralph “Rusty” Doty.

Survivors include his wife, Joann, of Oregon; sons, Dennis (Sharon) Seyller of Savannah, Mo., and Karl (Pam) Seyller of St. Joseph; sister, Theresa “Tea” Doty of Huntley, Ill.; three grandchildren, Ame, Robert "Bob," and Eli Seyller; and one great grandchild, Matt Seyller.

Services: Tuesday, September 3, 2019, 10:30 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.chamberlainfuneral.com .
