Gerald L. "Butch" Wilson

Gerald LeRoy "Butch" Wilson, 76, of Forest City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at a St. Joseph hospital.

Butch was born on February 10, 1947 in Bolckow, Missouri to Jesse B. and Doris H. (Lawson) Wilson. He joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, and retired after serving 20 years.

On August 13, 1968 he married Carole Ann. Together they ran the CG's Driftwood Po-Boy Cafe. Butch and Carole divorced in 1996. In 1998 he married Ann Myers; they divorced in 2003.

Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings and half siblings, Joyce L. Carver, Darlene Budine, Winston Wilson, Jesse "Topper" Wilson and Donald Wilson.

Survivors include his children, Steven Paul Wilson and Sandra Lee Wilson Eubanks, both of Lucedale, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Gary Budine of Forest City; siblings and half siblings, Georgetta Hector of St. Joseph, Missouri, Elberta Wilson-Schaefer of Bel-Air, Texas, and Dortha Fletchall of St. Joseph.

Services: Friday, September 1, 2023, 2:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Inurnment: Leavenworth National Cemetery.
