Guinnedeane (Quick) Brown, 90, passed away peacefully at the Oregon Care Center on Wed., Jan. 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Aug. 7, 1926 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Guinn and Mildred (Jourdon) Quick.
Guinnedeane graduated from Forest City High School in 1943. On Sept. 28, 1944 she married William Curtis “Curt” Brown in Troy, Kan., and they became parents of three daughters.
Guinnedeane owned and operated Cut N’ Curl Beauty Shop in her home for 36 years. After retirement she continued as a beauty operator at the Oregon Care Center for many years.
She was a member of the Oregon Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, Sorosis Club, and the D.A.R.
Survivors include her daughters, Rosemary (Dwight) Hall and Rebecca (Tom) Stoecklein, all of Oregon; sisters, Rita (Bill) McWilliams, Oregon, and Shirley (Johnny) Taylor, White Cloud, Kansas; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
