Harold V. “Bud” Macrander, 60, Forest City, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2015.
He was born in St. Joseph and graduated from Benton High School. Following high school he served in the United States Air Force.
Harold worked as an automobile mechanic. He also worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections, St. Joseph, and the Holt County Sheriff’s office for a few years.
In 2001 he married Cynthia Groce. She preceded him in death. Harold was also preceded in death by his parents, Harold V. and Frances M. (Henderson) Shopbell; and stepson, Joshua Lyon.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Amy (Tom) Chenoweth, St. Joseph, Tonya (Travis) Eldredge, Cameron, Mo., and Becky Elliott, Cameron; son and daughter-in-law, Travis (Anne) Macrander, Sierra Blanca, Tex.; stepchildren, John Lyon, Sierra Blanca, Tex., and Amber Shuler, Wynona, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; one great grandson; brothers, sisters, and nieces and nephews.
Services: Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015 at 7:30 pm at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon, Mo. Family will greet friends beginning at 6:00 pm. Private family inurnment: Forest City Cemetery.
