Harry E. "Bud" Whitnah

Harry Emmett “Bud” Whitnah was born near Forbes, Missouri on June 1, 1929. He was the only child of Ralph McKee and Alice Elizabeth (Fultz) Whitnah. Bud attended school at Forbes.

He married Jean Gillenwater in 1951, and they became parents of six children.

Bud passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at his Oregon home at the age of 85.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Jean; their son, Dean; grandson, Daniel Turner; and son-in-law, Richard Verbick.

Survivors include their daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and David Wineinger of Glenwood, Iowa, Wanda Verbick of Forest City, Missouri, Debbie and Bruce Turner of Oregon, Missouri, and Patsy and Eddie Woolsey of Forest City; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Tammy Whitnah of Oregon; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: Friday, March 13, 2015, 10:30 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family visitation: Thursday evening, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment: Forbes Cemetery. Memorials: Forbes Cemetery.
