Helen E. Kreek

June 21, 1928 — August 25, 2016

Helen E. Kreek was born on June 21, 1928 near Oregon, Missouri. She was the daughter of Frank C. and Maude (Stadler) Kreek.
After graduating from Oregon High School in 1945 Helen attended Platt Business School in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She worked in St. Joseph for Dillwood Buick Company as office manager until 1955, when she went to work for Burrows-Moore Pontiac in Sioux City, Iowa.
In 1958 Helen moved to Boulder, Colorado to become office manager for University Motors Oldsmobile-Cadillac dealer, which later became McCaddon Oldsmobile-Cadillac. She retired from McCaddon in 1993. After her retirement she did volunteer work at Carnegie Library and later the Boulder Public Library's special services department.
Helen belonged to the Zonta Club of Boulder and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading books and Bible study classes.
Helen passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 in Boulder at the age of 88. A memorial service and reception was held on August 30, 2016, also in Boulder.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, Thomas O. Kreek. Survivors include her niece, Karolyn Lewandowski; nephews, Karl Kreek of Wellington, Utah, Steve Kreek and Thomas Kreek of Price, Utah, and James Robert Kreek of Sandy, Utah; and many cousins .
Memorial services: Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, 10:00 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church of Boulder, 1820 15th Street, Boulder, CO 80302.
