Helen Lucile Miller

Helen Lucile (Hunziger) Miller was born on a small farm north of Forbes, Missouri to Robert and Inez (Derr) Hunziger.

Helen graduated from Oregon High School, and then attended Northwestern Missouri Teachers College.  She taught school for five years until her marriage to Lewis A. Miller in 1948.

After marriage she worked at the Abstractor's Office in Oregon, Missouri, and then at Pittsburg Paint & Glass in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Next she worked at  F. E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, finally retiring from the Wyoming State Auditor's Office, also in Cheyenne.

Helen and Lewis moved back to Oregon, Missouri in 2002.  Helen moved to Peoria, Arizona after the death of Lewis in 2016.  Helen passed away in Peoria on July 20, 2019 at the age of 92.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Paul; her brother, Thomas Hunziger; and her sister, Dorothy (Hunziger) Stull.

She is survived by her brother, Max Hunziger, Forest City, Missouri; children, Bernard (Mary) Miller, Frankfort, Germany, Stanley (Patricia) Miller, Moscow, Idaho, and Kim (Timothy) Steckler, Peoria, Arizona; 13 grandchildren, Paul (Holly) Miller, Jessica (Phillip) Mickelsen, Bethany (Isaac) Goff, Kari (Jose) Nino, Rachel (Keith) McManus, Natali (Jess) Monnette, Jared (Mackenzie) Miller, Olivia (Luke) Grauke, Daniel Miller, Sarah (David) Tomich, Audra (Ronald) Slusher, Laura (Randall) Ball, and Hannah (Brian) Koning; 42 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Family visitation: Fri, Aug 2, 2019, 7:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Celebration of Life services: Sat, Aug 3, 2019, 10:00 am, Oregon Christian Church. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials: Maple Grove Cemetery Association or the Oregon Christian Church.
