J. Alex Book

Jeffrey Alex Book was born on May 3, 1987 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was the youngest of two sons of Dave and Janet (Roberts) Book.

Alex graduated from South Holt High School in 2005, where he was active in track and basketball. He also enjoyed art and drawing, and won awards for his artwork

He was a member of the union, and had worked on pipeline construction.

Alex passed away peacefully in his sleep at his Oregon, Missouri home on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dale and Ginger Book; maternal grandmother, Thelma Roberts; and uncle, Jeffrey Ammon.

He is survived by his parents, Dave and Janet Book, Oregon; brother and sister-in-law, Caleb and Crystal Book, Ardmore, Oklahoma; nephew, Shawn Dean; grandfather, Jim Roberts, St. Joseph, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Ken and Donna Roberts, Carolyn Ammon and Joe Hannah, Gary Roberts, Tom and Julie Book, and Anna and Brett Derr; and cousins, Jane Roberts, Baylor and Noland Ammon, Madison and Guy Book, and Ali Roberts.

Services were held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Oregon United Methodist Church. Burial was at the Forest City Cemetery.
