James N. Tucker was born in Dearborn, Platte County on October 23, 1920 to Ward and Cora Lee (Cassaty) Tucker.
On September 8, 1944 he married Ethel F. Brownlee, and they became parents of eight children.
James was a construction worker, tobacco grower, and farmer. He loved to coon hunt, and take care of his animals.
James passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in a St. Joseph care center at the age of 94.
Survivors include his brother, Ward Jefferson Tucker of Cameron, his children and spouses, Anna Tucker, Mary (Clayton) Vaught, David (Christina) Tucker, and Mark (Ginger) Tucker, all of St. Joseph, Jim (Carol) Tucker of Wichita, Kansas, John (B.J.) Tucker of Valley Center, Kansas, Robert Tucker of Savannah, and Kim (Johnny) of Wathena, Kansas; 23 grandchildren; 47 great grand-children; four great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters, and four great grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon, Missouri. Family greeted friends one hour prior to services. Interment was at Maple Grove Cemetery in Oregon.
