Jeanie Deich

Jeanie Deich, 82, of St. Joseph, died Oct. 18, 2015 at her home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1932 in Forbes, Mo., the daughter of Floyd and Agnes (Schank) Childers.
Jeanie graduated from Oregon High School in 1950.
On May 30, 1950 she married Harold Schultz, formerly of Corning, Mo. They later divorced. On May 26, 1984 she married Fred Deich of St. Joseph. Fred passed away May 8, 2000.
Survivors include a son, Michael S. Schultz of St. Joseph; daughter, Katherine J. Curnutt of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Erin (Richard) McGregory, Elizabeth (Brian) Pearl, Caleb Curnutt, David (Joella) Schultz, Alexis (Dale) Rodney, and Brooke Beaty; great grandchildren, Maddyson, Brennan, Owen, Oliver, Myles, Brady, Simone, Dalton, Dylan, and Joslyn; and sisters, Ruth McCoy of St. Joseph, Joy Shea of New Jersey, and Pearl Wake-Lawson of Overland Park, Kan.; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Grimes, Dale O’Connell, and Red O’Connell; sisters, Irene Grimes and Beverly Fitzmaurice; and nieces, Carol Strong, Shirley Lehman, Sandy and Jackie.
Services: Wed., Oct. 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Oregon, Mo. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Inurnment: Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials: Maple Grove Cemetery.
