Jimmie "Jim" D. Reynolds

Jimmie D. "Jim" Reynolds was born on March 27, 1943 to Owen Glen "Tot" and Roberta June (Terry) Reynolds in Fillmore, Missouri.

Jim graduated from Oregon High School in 1961, and then joined the U.S. Air Force that same year. He was honorably discharged in 1965. After the service Jim farmed. He was a gun enthusiast, and enjoyed hunting. Jim lived in Colorado for a few years, and was an avid snow skier. He was a member of the Holt County levee board.

On October 20, 1979 he married Evelyn K. Noland in Forest City. Together they liked to shoot black powder rifles, and enjoyed having numerous cats and dogs at their Forest City home.

Jim passed away at the Oregon Healthcare on August 29, 2024 at the age of 81.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Evelyn.

Survivors include his son, Jay Dee (Robin) Reynolds of Oregon, Missouri; honorary children, Tara and Woody Chaney; sister, Dorothy Jean (Russell) Jumps of Mound City; and three nephews, one niece, and their families.

A Celebration of Life for Jimmie and his wife, Evelyn, who passed away in 2021, was held at Forest City's City Hall on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Memorials may be directed to the Riverbend Association.
