John W. "Peanuts" Hale

John W. "Peanuts" Hale, age 63, Savannah, Missouri, formerly of Mound City, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at LaVerna Village Nursing Home in Savannah.

He was born on Dec. 12, 1949 to Earnest R. and Alice (Dance) Hale. John graduated from Mound City High School. He later served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

John worked as a car salesman for Greg Motors and Anderson Ford. He also worked at the Mound City Coop elevator for a few years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and twin brothers, Bobby and Billy.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Crystal Fogel of Florida; Kenneth and Candace Hale of Tempe, Arizona, and Steven and Ashley Hale of Goodyear, Arizona; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Dionel Figueroa of Union Star, Missouri; brother, Kenneth Hale of Savannah; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Sunday evening, Dec. 1, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City. Family greeted friends one hour prior to services.
