Joyce A. Gorman

Joyce A. Gorman, 80, of Mound City, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at a Mound City care center, with her family by her side.

She was born on September 26, 1933 in Maitland, the only child of Elvin and Erma (Ellison) Rowlett.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and by an infant son, David.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Dennis Gorman, Debra and Bill Keiffer, Dan Gorman, and Doug and Tweed Gorman; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and stepfather, Delbert Brickey, all of Mound City.

Joyce was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her family was her life.

The family invited friends to attend graveside services and interment at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Maitland Cemetery.

All were invited to the Maitland Legion Hall following the services for a time of fellowship with the family. Memorials may be directed to the Mound City Nutrition Site.
