Joyce E. (Oslin) Rasnic, 80, passed away July 11, 2020 at her Mound City, Mo. home.
She was born Nov. 4, 1939 in Watson, Mo. to Raymond L.and Elsie C. (Herrmann) Oslin.
On August 19, 1956 Joyce married Charles Raymond Rasnic, and they became parents of four sons.
Throughout Joyce’s life she was a hard worker and owned and operated several businesses, including a bean crew, the Corning Grocer/Restaurant/Post Office, raising and selling exotic fish and aquariums, and Sunnyside Cactus. After Charles retired they owned and operated Good Time Antiques and Greenhouse in Mound City for more than 30 years.
Joyce was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was well loved by family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Raymond and Elsie (Herrman) Oslin; husband, Charles; infant son, Charles Raymond, Jr.; and siblings, Sarah Perry, Samuel Oslin, Gladys Poolman, Floella Mayfield, Lawrence Oslin, Geneva Mayfield, Claude Oslin, Vera Hunter, Bertha Bryant, Virginia Carnicle, Emma Case, and Betty Wallace.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Dallas) Rasnic of Craig, Mo., Jack (Janet) of Scott City, Mo., and Joseph (Mattie) of Mound City; sister, Alice Faye Willson of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren, Jeremy (Allison) Rasnic, Jonathan (Hannah) Rasnic, Jennifer (Luke) Townsend, Daniel (Angela) Rasnic, Nicholas (Lilit) Rasnic, and Dakota Barnes; great grandchildren, Graysen, Gavin, Lorelei, and Peyton Rasnic, Kara and Ellie Rasnic, and Layton Rasnic; and many nieces and nephews.
Farewell services: Tuesday, July 14, 2020, 11:00 am, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City. Family will gather with friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Benton Church Cemetery, Forest City, Mo. Memorial: Holt County Cancer Fund.
