Judy E. Scheib

Judith Ellen "Judy"  (Kneale) Scheib, 83, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at her home in Oregon, Missouri.

Judy was born was born March 12, 1939, to Kenneth and Esther (Marriner) Kneale of rural Holt County, Missouri. She graduated from Oregon High School in 1957. She married Don Scheib on June 22, 1958, and they just celebrated 64 years of marriage.

When Judy’s children were young, the phrase “stay-at-home-mom” didn’t exist. It was usual for women to stay home with the children while their husbands worked. But even by the standards of the era, Judy was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was.

Judy and Don started Scheib Drainage Products in 1976, where they worked together all their married life for the growth and betterment of their business. Judy was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Oregon United Methodist Church, and the Holiday Club. She enjoyed traveling and especially their family trips to Minnesota. She enjoyed researching family genealogy and kept family daily journals. Judy was the “rock” and guiding light of her family.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bill and Ben Kneale.

Judy is survived by her husband Don; son, Scott (Carla) Scheib; daughter, Carol (Steve) Rogers; grandchildren, Katy (Lenny) Hihath, Lindsey (Brandon) Ritter, Abby (Nic) Christensen, Brett (Sarah) Scheib, and Stephanie (Jared) Allen; great grandchildren, Aiden, Jackson, and Mia Vasquez, Savanna and Sawyer Ritter, Dylan and Harper Christensen, Emma and Eric Scheib, Molly, Campbell, Enoch, and Micah Allen, and Libby, Ellie and Eva Hihath; brother, K.R. (Sue) Kneale; and nieces and nephews, Beth Adams, Cindy Kneale, and John Kneale.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and great-grandmother who was always there when her family needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the Oregon community where she lived.

Services: Saturday, July 16, 2022, 11:00 am, Oregon United Methodist Church, where family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials: United Methodist Church, Maple Grove Cemetery, or Holt County Museum and Research Center.
